Understanding the Course Workflow Interface

The information provided in this article is focused on the Course level workflow screen editing features.

1. Action bar

  • Pencil icon: opens the “Edit workflow” tab on the Workflow Builder (represented by item 5 on the image above). This tab enables you to edit and add Course information. 
  • Person icon: opens the “Share Course” pop up. This feature allows you to share, publish, create a public link and export sections of a Course workflow.
  • 3 dots icon (...) :  provides a dropdown menu of secondary course actions: "Archive workflow", "Export", "Copy into current project", "Copy to my library" and "Import".


2. Overview: this area is information about your course: title, date created, brief description, whether or not the Course is published or private. To edit the course overview, click on the Pencil icon located in the Course action bar.


3. Views: to provide different visual displays of the workflow information.


4. Workflow: this is where you build and create your workflow by adding and editing various components (columns, nodes and sections). For more information see: 


5. Workflow builder: the tabs of this panel will become active / visible automatically based on which item of your workspace you are currently working on. You can also activate a tab by clicking on the icons on the workflow builder tabs (top left of the workflow builder). 

  1. Edit (Pencil icon): this tab will enable you to edit the node, week or column information, depending on what you've selected in your workspace.
  2. Add (Plus icon): this tab will enable you to add nodes to your workflow
  3. Outcomes (Three Dots icon): this tab will enable you to associate outcomes to the nodes of your workflow
  4. View options (Eye icon): this tab enables you to display or hide "Object Sets"
  5. Restore (Trash icon): this tab is visible only if you've deleted items in your workflow. It allows you to restore or delete permanently previously deleted items. Please note that this tab is visible only when the workflow contains deleted items.
